Clark is best known as Dean Masters on the first season of House of Cards. His parents divorced when he was very young. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri with his mother and spent summers with his father in Corning, Iowa. He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Speech and a major in Theatre. Later he received a M.F.A for the University of Missouri-KC in acting and directing. At Northwestern he was a varsity saber fencer. His senior year, he qualified for the NCAA Championship, was co-MVP of the team and was named the May Court Outstanding Senior Athlete. He did two national tours with The Acting Company appeared on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's Jumpers and is a company member at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.
